Bringing Lethbridge Home is a strategic plan to end homelessness in Lethbridge by 2011.  Homelessness is one of the most critical issues facing our community, so this might appear to be a bold, even unrealistic plan.  But it isn't.  We believe that by offering the "right housing" with the "right supports", homelessness can become a thing of the past.  That’s why we’re building partnerships, initiatives and strategies to literally bring homes to the hundreds of individuals and families whose circumstances have forced them to live without adequate, safe and affordable housing in Lethbridge.

Today Social Housing In Action presented to Council and was approved in the 2011-13 Service Delivery Plan.

Please click on the below link to review our 2nd Annual Progress Report (2010-11).  See the amazing work the Housing First agencies are doing in Lethbrdige.  We sure are proud of the progress, but we'll keep on working... Until Everyone Has a Home...

When you think of homelessness, what images come to mind? If you’re like most people, you might imagine someone sleeping on park benches, living on the streets or in cars, staying in an emergency shelter. And you’d be right. But only partially. The person you see on the street is just the tip of the iceberg, representing less than 20% of the homeless population in our city.
